Wedding Cake Booking Process

INITIAL ENQUIRY

With a limited number of dates available, I recommend enquiring as soon as you can to book your date. I recommend you booking 12-18 months in advance, particularly during peak wedding season (April - October). You do not need to know your final design as this can be finalised later at your consultation. All I need is your wedding date and venue. If you do have a design in mind please send me the details and I can give you a price estimate.

MAKING A BOOKING

A £50 booking fee will secure your date in my diary.

The balance of your wedding cake is due 21 days before your wedding date.

CONSULTATION

Around six months before your wedding date you will be invited to my studio for your consultation appointment. Before your appointment I will send you a short consultation form which allows me to prepare for your arrival. With this information I will make a rough sketch of your design which we can adjust to suit your vision. I encourage you to bring anything you think is relevant to your wedding cake, such as invitation samples, swatches of fabric, photos of decor and venue. During this time we will discuss and finalised your wedding cake design. We will also discuss any extras like favours and stand hire.

TASTER BOX

At your consultation you will receive your taster box. This will include six slices of my most popular cake flavours, two macarons and a iced vanilla biscuit. This box is complimentary for each couple booked in.

CAKE SKETCH & QUOTE

After your consultation appointment I will take all your ideas and draw your final sketch. I will then send this to you along with your quote. If you do want to make any changes of the design this can easily be done as many times as necessary until your are completely happy.

ONE MONTH TO GO

I will contact you to go over your design and make any necessary adjustments. I will then send over your final invoice which will be due 21 days before your wedding (your booking fee will be deducted from your final balance). I will arrange, where required, delivery times with the venue and contact any other suppliers that I need to liaise with.

ON THE BIG DAY

I will deliver and set up your wedding cake on the morning of your wedding. Each cake is taken separately to the venue and stacked on site. I will also supply your venue coordinator with written and verbal detailed information about your cake such as any allergies, cutting guide, if you would like a tier of cake saved, any decoration you would like as a keepsake. I will not leave a cake until I am completely happy with the finish and position of the cake.
